JD’s Boatshed is proud to introduce the ALL NEW R26 and R26 Surf from Cobalt Boats.
These new and improved models build on the comfort, performance and craftsmanship of the R6, introducing a redesigned hull, updated technology and a completely refreshed interior to Cobalt’s R Series.
Both models share a 8.05m length with an 2.59m beam, with the Surf version adding Custom Wave Technology, Volvo Penta Forward Drive and a redesigned surf hull for consistent wave performance and better control.
The Cobalt R26

Designed to cut through the waves with ease, the R26 luxury sport runabout delivers the performance, handling, stability and comfort you want, so you can please family and friends from sunup to well past sundown. It accommodates up to 14 people with flexible seating, an extra-long swim platform and a conveniently placed aft storage cubby to handle boards and inflatables. With its list of power options up to 430hp, the R26 yields a fast, smooth ride, and its helm feels intuitive from the moment you power up.
The Cobalt R26 Surf
Built to bring the energy.
The all-new R26 Surf is an ideal way to turn up the volume on your Cobalt experience. Featuring the same core Cobalt attributes of performance, handling, stability and comfort as its R26 companion, the R26 Surf was purpose-built for surfing. Its next-generation surf system provides a longer surf pocket, more push and a wave that can be dialed in to ft every rider. With its dedicated board storage compartment and a longer swim platform for effortless water access, the R26 Surf speeds transitions, giving everyone more time to ride the waves and enjoy the day.
The R26 Surf will incorporate a redesigned surf hull with Volvo Penta Forward Drive, the Surf Gate onboard system, and Cobalt’s Custom Wave Technology platform. The surf controls can use preset profiles to adjust ballast, speed, and wave direction, while the hard ballast system allows the wave to be adjusted for different riders and conditions
